We are closed for our autumn seasonal break from Sunday 11th October,
re-opening at 12 noon on Wednesday 21st October 2026.
Our normal opening times are from 12 noon on Wednesdays through to 12 noon on Sundays.
We offer; overnight accommodation with breakfast, plus hot and cold drinks; we serve Cream Teas on Fridays and Saturdays; and Sunday Lunches from 1st November to 20th December.
We are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Please note that the evening restaurant is closed indefinitely.

The Old Deanery is a Jacobean mansion, located in the heart of Ripon, in the shadows of Ripon Cathedral.
The Old Deanery is an intimate, independently owned hotel, with just 11 bedrooms, but the building is bursting with character! Taken over by husband-and-wife duo, Rebecca and Chris in late 2021, the site operated as an exclusive use wedding and events venue for two successful seasons, before opening up as a fine dining restaurant with rooms for the next two wonderful years. The restaurant has now closed, and in “season three” of our project, The Old Deanery is a warm, friendly, and relaxing place to stay with an exceptional and unique breakfast included in all our rates.

During your stay you can relax in the warm and cosy Welcome Lounge with its big comfy sofas; in the dark and atmospheric Chef’s Lounge; or the cool cinema room lounge is the perfect place for an evening tipple.
In the warmer weather, The Old Deanery boasts a stunning walled garden, with a focal feature of four magnificent willow trees which hide a secret clearing. If time permits, a walk around the gardens is a lovely addition to your stay.
As an independently owned family business, you may well meet the owners’ toddler and small dog during your visit!
