The Old Deanery is a Jacobean mansion in the very heart of Ripon, in the shadows of Ripon Cathedral.

Think red carpet entrance, a grand reception lounge, 11 bedrooms and, of course, our magnificent grounds and gardens that are perfect for photographs.  Please note that we have very recently re-branded The Old Deanery away from a "restaurant with rooms" as such we are in the process of re-designing our wedding packages and prices and we are not in a position to take new bookings for a few months.

To make planning your day as stress-free as possible, we have a framework of a package that can then be adapted and extended to become personal to you. The beauty of an independent, exclusive use venue is that we can offer the flexibility to tailor-make your perfect day by working with you on any special requirements or extra touches.

Your wedding at The Old Deanery includes:

Wedding for minimum numbers of 60 guests, up to a maximum 80 seated "daytime" guests.

Exclusive Use of all public areas, grounds, and gardens of The Old Deanery from 11am on your wedding day to 11am the following morning.

Reception drink and canapes before the wedding breakfast.

3 course wedding breakfast meal.

Half a bottle of wine per person with the meal.

The Old Deanery is available for events. Due to the size and shape of the building, and the style of service that we offer, each event will require a consultation and bespoke quote, so please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

As a rough guide, we can offer mid-week events with a light lunch or buffet-style meal from around £3000 (includes venue hire and food for one meal sitting: lunchtime or evening).

Weekends may have a minimum spend of £5000, or may require a full wedding package.

Our cinema room is also available to hire.
